The Inspiration
Taking Michelle Moenssen‘s workshop “Making a Jacket from Handwoven Fabric” was the push that got me going to ‘combat the winter blues’ with this project.  Then seeing the 8 yrds!! of warp stretched out across the floor as I wound it onto the loom… I kept thinking ‘Rapunzel… Rapunzel…. let down thy hair’ .

What I enjoy about creating this piece
~~Seeing how the colors of the variegated warp blended/shifted
~~This is the first time I have ever made a fitted/tailored jacket!!
~~Working with Michelle was a fabulous experience – I learned so much!
